The equipment controlled from the reactor stage is used for the decontamination of the outer surface of the refueling pond and the reactor compensator ring using high pressure and high temperature water jetting. The picture shows a water spraying unit. The water jet processing from the top downward goes twice over the sections of surface to be cleaned. The big light-weight construction is held by a crane, or - during the decontamination of the lower part of the refueling pond - it is standing on its legs. The robot is moved pneumatically. The total decontamination time - depending on the contamination of the refueling pond - is 8-12 hours. The equipment can be dismantled into two parts in order to allow the railway or road transport.
