The pictures
show the part of the equipment, which works in the main circulating
pump (MCP) housing. The upper figure shows the decontaminating
head standing
on a track of the model of the housing.
The robot is controlled by a PC-installed
program, by the help of which the cleaning heads automatically follow the
accessible internal surface of the MCP housing, cleaning it electrochemically.
92% of the total 8 m2 internal surface can be cleaned automatically,
except for the chamferred edges. Decontamination of one pump housing can
be completed winthin one shift.
The decontamination process can be monitored using two video cameras mounted
on the equipment (bottom figure).
